80's Flashback - The Music

Welcome back! We're almost finished with my blog series celebrating the 80's, a time that graced America with some of its most memorable pop culture, ever. Today, let's tune the dials on our radios back a few decades and enjoy some of the beats of days gone by. Or better yet, turn the dials of our TV's back to MTV (back in it's origin, when it still played music) and relive some of the best musical artists of the era.

You can't discuss 80's music without mentioning the hair metal bands. They had big hair, giant hits and monster ballads. Enjoy a little Guns 'N Roses.

The teeny boppers had some great music, too. Remember Tiffany's "I think we're alone now"? You better believe that my girlfriends and I had a dance to this song. It was pretty legit. It involved literally acting out every line of the chorus. We were pretty creative...

Of course, you can't even utter the word "80's" without thinking of the King of Pop who ruled over the entire decade - Michael Jackson

And the reining Queen, who not only sold records, but started fashion trends - Madonna. I do believe that her name and "80's" are synonymous.

Who else would you say defined the music for the 80's generation?
